This opera will feature an exciting cast of professional artists from the Boston area, young singers from both the NEMPAC community, and VOICES Boston as the ever present onstage chorus of stars, with a young singer in the titular role of the Little Prince.
Daniel P. Ryan will be the youth choir director.
For the past 8 years the NEMPAC Opera Project has been providing accessible opera in urban Boston.
This year, we are presenting Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “The Little Prince” Opera by Rachel Portman, fully staged and accompanied by orchestra.
This is a wonderful opportunity to present a high-quality cast and performance with a very unique historical backdrop, and enjoy the nightlife Boston has to offer.
This event is Presented by North End Music & Performing Arts Center (NEMPAC), Co-Presented by NorthEndBoston.com & Anonymous Donor, and sponsored by TD Bank, Berkshire Bank, Brookline Bank, Greater Tacoma Community Foundation, Friends of the Christopher Columbus Park, The City of Boston, and Boston Cultural Council.
