Thula Sizwe is an a capella men’s singing group, composed of 11 voices ranging from the deepest bass to the highest of tenors, who sing of Africa, joy, faith, reconciliation and peace. They'll perform in a free concert at First Church in Swampscott.

Thula Sizwe has performed for many diverse audiences. They have sung for the inauguration of President Nelson Mandela in 1994 and for Paul Simon’s Graceland concerts. While they sing, they dance, and while they dance, the audience can never sit still.

Born just before the end of the apartheid era, Thula Sizwe dedicates itself to a mission of peace, harmony and racial reconciliation. The group’s origins are in the poverty-stricken Black Townships of South Africa, yet they reach across racial and class divisions to share their intricate rhythms and harmonies with all audiences.
