The Boston Festival Orchestra presents Elemental, the second concert of Season One.
The BFO showcases its musicians in Elemental, a bold exploration of the forces of nature.
Sixteen wind players, representing breath and air, perform an unusual feat: an unconducted rendition of the Sonatina in F Major for Winds, ‘From an Invalid’s Workshop’ by Richard Strauss.
The second half gets heated with the full power of the BFO strings performing Piazzolla’s seductive The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires, an Argentinian twist on Vivaldi’s Four Seasons that we all know and love.
PROGRAM
Richard Strauss, Sonatina in F Major for Winds, ‘From an Invalid’s Workshop’
