WRITERS read from their new books, or about-to-be books, or right from their crumpled up notes.
MUSICIANS range from harpists to horn blowers, from solo songwriters to full-on rock bands.
EARFULL EVENINGS offer food & drink at the venue, and time between acts to socialize.
OCT 25 we welcome authors Alysia Abbott and Lauren Acampora, and musical acts Lucy Frost and The Jigsaw Trio.
More about Earfull.
Alysia Abbott - Alysia Abbott is the author of Fairyland, A Memoir of My Father, which was a New York Times Book Review Editors' Choice selection.
As a journalist, essayist, and critic, she's written for The Boston Globe, The Guardian, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Vogue, TheAtlantic.com, among other publications.
Fairyland has been translated into several languages and is currently being made into a feature film produced by Sofia Coppola.
In 2022, Alysia was awarded an artist grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
She leads GrubStreet’s Memoir Incubator program and teaches at Emerson College.
Lucy Frost is a Boston based singer/songwriter, composer, and pianist who studies at the Berklee College of Music.
Whether it's playing local venues or scoring a short film, she strives to connect to her listeners through the art and power of storytelling.
Lauren Acampora is the author of The Wonder Garden, winner of the GLCA New Writers Award and a finalist for the New England Book Award, The Paper Wasp, longlisted for the Center for Fiction’s First Novel Prize, and The Hundred Waters, named a best book of 2022 by Vogue.
She is a 2021 NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellow in Fiction from The New York Foundation for the Arts.
Her writing has appeared in the Paris Review, Guernica, the New York Times Book Review, and LitHub, among other places.
She lives in Westchester County, New York with her husband, artist Thomas Doyle, and their daughter.
Jigsaw Trio - The fact that this is a four-piece trio is only one of the confusing things about this ensemble.
Dave Champagne (Agnostic Gospel, Treat Her Right), Mark Chenevert (Hot Tamale Brass Band, 440 Ypsy Yazz), Jerome Deupree (Morphine, Joe Morris Trio), and Russ Gershon (Either/Orchestra, Lookie Lookie) are four seasoned sonic travelers, bloody but unbowed, playing original music for people to love.
