Join International Jewish Music Festival winners Ezekiel's Wheels Klezmer Band and world renowned dance leader Avia Moore for an evening of freylekhs, bulgars, zhoks, and more at the Hyde Community Center bandstand in Newton Highlands.

Whether you're a veteran Yiddish dancer or have never even heard of a zhok, bulgar, or freylekhs, you're invited to join hands and dance the night away with us.

From Route 128
Get off on Route 9 eastbound, and into the left lane. At the first set of lights on Route 9 take a left onto Woodward Street. Go .1 miles to the four-way stop sign at Lincoln Street. Take a right onto Lincoln and go up .2 miles until you see a playground on your right. Park on the street.

The Hyde Community Center is the brick building next to and just past playground. The walk that leads to the Hyde entry is on the other side of the building from the playground, between the building and the circular driveway (the driveway is reserved parking for tenants with disabilities). The entry is up the walk and to the right, through the marked double doors.


From Beacon Street
From Beacon Street, turn South down Walnut Street by Whole Foods Market. Proceed .7 miles down Walnut past the fountain at the bend in the road, to the first set of lights.

Take a right onto Lincoln Street. Go down Lincoln Street .2 miles to just past where the parking meters end. Park anywhere on the street. The Hyde Community Center is the brick building on the left, and is marked by a sign out near the sidewalk (there is a playground just past the Hyde Center, so don’t go that far).

From Centre Street
From Centre at Beacon Street, go South on Centre .9 miles. Turn right onto Walnut Street at the lights. Proceed up Walnut Street .1 mile to the next set of lights (the “T” stop is on your right) and take a left onto Lincoln Street.

Go down Lincoln Street .2 miles to just past where the parking meters end. Park anywhere on the street. The Hyde Community Center is the brick building on the left, and is marked by a sign out near the sidewalk (there is a playground just past the Hyde Center, so don’t go that far).

From Route 90 (Mass Pike)
From exit 14, follow Route 128 South to Route 9 East. See “From Route 128,” for remaining directions.

Public Transportation
Green Line D train to Newton Highlands stop.
Take a left onto Lincoln Street and proceed west (.2 mi.)

Green Line D train to Eliot stop.
Head east on Boylston St toward Elliot St. (0.2 mi); Turn left onto Woodward St (0.1 mi); Turn right onto Lincoln Street and destination will be on the right.

Newton Highlands stop onto Lincoln Street and proceed west (.2 mi.)
