Join us for a Klezmer Jamboree at BackRoom Boston co-presented by Mass Cultural Council.

This is 2 Weekends of Klezmer Fun!

4:00 PM - INSTRUMENTAL WORKSHOP WITH ENTIRE MAMALIGA BAND We’ll learn tunes together by ear, building a shared repertoire.

All levels welcome!

Each meeting will focus on a different great Klezmer player.

7:00 PM - MAMALIGA CONCERT (in-person & zoom)

Mamaliga is a collaborative, four-piece ensemble creating new music rooted in Klezmer & Eastern-European folk traditions.

The band is comprised of Rebecca Mac & Rachel Leader on fiddles, Raffi Boden on cello, & Mattias Kaufmann on accordion.

Followed by light refreshments & open top shelf bar!

We highly recommend taking public transit to the Boston Synagogue. It is a 5 minute walk from Science Park or North Station on the green and orange lines, a 10 minute walk from Charles MGH station on the red line, and a 2 minute walk from the nearest Blue Bike station. Limited parking is available.
