Mark Russell is a violinist, composer, and teacher.
He began studying violin at the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia.
In his late teens, he became interested in Jazz, Blues and traditional music from Ireland and Australia.
Joining with fellow Australian musicians he toured extensively around the world promoting Australian tourism.
He has performed in front of stadium crowds as opening act for Dire Straits and worked with artists such as Stephane Grappelli, Brownie Macgee and the Billboard R&B charting Phat Cat Players.
He recorded music for the Victor Nunez film Coastlines, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
He now lives in Cambridge MA and performs regularly around Boston and the beautiful South Shore Region.
Doors open at 5:30.
