On Friday evening, September 22nd, The Regent Theatre is proud to feature Boston's homegrown original, the extraordinarily talented Debo Ray for the third show of her 2023 Residency.The show will feature a night of Classic Rock with songs by Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, Queen, David Bowie, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Heart, Kate Bush and many more.
Capping it off will be a tribute to the late, great Tina Turner.
The band features the double barrel guitar wizardry of David Fiuczynski and Scott Tarulli along with Aaron and Amy Bellamy (The A-Beez) and Jerry Velona on drums.
And with the Faerisque go-go dancers, light show and Debo's unmatched vocal range and charisma, this is one show you do NOT want to miss!
Debo has been featured with groups like Terri Lyne Carrington's Social Science (where she was nominated for a Grammy along with the group) and Women of the World.
She's performed on some of the world's biggest stages, most recently at Carnegie Hall as well as in Boston with jazz giant Kenny Barron.
In April of this year, she had the featured role in a world premier opera entitled The Jonah People along with The Nashville Symphony Orchestra.
From jazz, to rock, to metal, to opera and most recently funk, R and B and soul, her versatility is unmatched.
In a recent feature in The Boston Globe, long time music writer/critic Jon Garelick asks, 'What can't Debo Ray sing?'.
