Join us for an uplifting and entertaining Sunday brunch featuring singer-songwriters and songstresses from artist-alliance group Women In Music Gathering.

This is WIMG's 5th annual showcase benefitting a good community charity.

This year's concert benefits two organizations that help domestic violence survivors: Casa Myrna and RESPOND.

MERAL ECINCIOGLU: Trained as an architect, I have always believed in the social, creative, humanist and healing power of music for all.

Today, we need the potential of this art more than ever.

DEBORAH GALIGA: A singer/songwriter who plays keyboards and guitar, Deborah performs her distinctive original songs, drawing from pop, folk and rock influences.

She also plays special cover songs from the 1960s and jazz standards.

She is known for her sense of humor, audience rapport and theatrical flair.

JOANNA KATZEN: Joanna brings with her over a decade of performance experience both in the US and abroad.

She has performed in various sized ensembles and choirs, and as a solo and duo performing-songwriter act.

Joanna is the recipient of the 2013 Walter W. Harp Liberal Arts, Music & Society Award for Outstanding Achievement in Research, Civic Engagement & Performance Relating to Music and Society.

JAN LUBY: Rhode Island-based singer-songwriters Jan Luby is known for her engaging, often riveting stage-presence as well as her voice full of passion, range and power.

Jan's songs are evocative, lyrical and infectious personal stories.

Her approach to songwriting ranges from socially relevant to irreverent, heartbreaking to humorous.

LINDA MARKS: Known for her heart-to-heart style of songwriting, with 13 studio albums and a 14th in the works, award winning singer-songwriter Linda Marks is an emotional alchemist with a gift for capturing the heart of the matter.

Linda is a finalist in 4 categories for the 2023 International Singer-Songwriter Awards.

Her music will be featured in a very special Songwriter’s Showcase at Club Cafe in Boston in September 2023.

ISABEL STOVER: “Elegant.” “An amazing range.” “Continually evolving.” These are just a few of the ways audiences describe Isabel Stover.

She uses her richly textured vocals and mastery of phrasing to deliver an authentic and heartfelt experience Accompanied by some of the most creative figures on the Boston scene, Isabel draws the emotive thread between timeless Jazz standards, Brazilian, folk and pop with fresh, new arrangements.

LORI ZUROFF: Lori Zuroff has been singing with various rock, blues, R&B, and jazz bands for over 20 years in the Boston area.

She has performed with both small and large bands in venues all over Boston.

Lori leads a jazz trio and quintet and also has her own 5 piece rock band, The Lola Sweet Band.

She released her premiere jazz CD, called Ladybug in 2020.

About Women In Music Gathering: Women In Music Gathering is an artist-alliance group of women in music.

WIMG is dedicated to supporting its members personally and professionally and collaborating on concerts to support good community causes.

About Casa Myrna: Casa Myrna is Boston’s largest provider of domestic violence awareness efforts and of shelter and supportive services to survivors.

Casa Myrna’s comprehensive range of services, available in both Spanish and English, provide survivors with tools to recover from the trauma of abuse and begin to build sustainable self-sufficiency.

Each year, Casa Myrna serves over 2,000 survivors through three residential programs, housing assistance and advocacy, financial literacy education and job readiness skill building, individual and group counseling, legal advocacy and representation, children’s services, and community-based advocacy.

Casa Myrna operates SafeLink, Massachusetts’ statewide 24/7 toll-free domestic violence hotline, which answers over 27,000 calls annually.

About RESPOND: Somerville-based RESPOND, a pioneer in the movement to end domestic violence, is New England’s first domestic violence prevention agency and the second in the nation.

For nearly 50 years RESPOND has provided life-saving shelter, support services, training and education to more than 100,000 members of the community.

Services are free, confidential, and available to all survivors of domestic abuse—no matter their age or gender.
