On Wednesday, July 2, Gore Place will present a free concert of popular American music by The Waltham American Legion Band on the grounds of the Gore estate. The concert, which will begin at 7pm (doors open at 6:30pm) will take place in the function tent. Visitors are asked to provide their own seating. Parking is free. The concert will take place rain or shine.

The Waltham American Legion Band is an all-volunteer band formed in 1946, originally directed by Dorothy (Dot) Slamin Hill, then Larry Gilbo, and now Ed Russo. The membership consists of men and women who enjoy playing music together. The band plays 25 to 30 parades and 8 to 10 concerts annually throughout New England and the Greater Boston Area.
