DOPAPOD is the newest thing outta Boston. Eli Winderman, from PHILLY, PA, plays Hammond B3, piano and keyboards. Michelangelo Carubba, from BUFFALO, NY, plays drums, and Rob Compa, from ROCHESTER NY, plays guitar. After playing music with each other for long enough, they decided it was time to dig on the same thing. Thus, DOPAPOD. Eli, Rob, and Michelangelo study music at the acclaimed Berklee College of Music in Boston.

Before Berklee, Dopapod has performed with and opened for such artists as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Melvin Sparks, India Arie, Stanton Moore of Galactic, O.A.R., Maroon 5, Sam Kinninger, Matt Nathanson, Carbon Leaf, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, The Tampa Symphony Orchestra, and more. Eli, Michelangelo, and Rob has studied with artists Marco Benevento, Eric Krasno, Mike Mangini, Tony Thunder Smith, Kenwood Dennard, Dave Cowan, Joe Morello, Harvey Mason, and many others. Dopapod brings their touring experience, influences, and mutual love of music to their creative process.

Funka-nima In Portuguese, “anima” is a metaphor for life. This up-and-coming Boston area quartet translates its lust for life into an exciting mix of jazz-funk with a touch of Brazilian joie de vive. One of the most appealing young jazz bands around (written by Rick Foster)
