Violinist Peter Zazofsky joins the New Phil as soloist, opening the Classics series on November 22nd and 23rd in a program entitled “Scotch Plaid” featuring Max Bruch’s “Scottish Fantasy” and Felix Mendelssohn’s stirring Symphony No. 3 “Scottish.”

Come join music director Ronald Knudsen as he leads the orchestra in an evening of masterpieces by two great composers. All Performances at First Baptist Church in Newton.

From the Mass Pike East:
Exit 17, go to top of ramp. Go straight, staying in right lane to first set of lights, turn right onto Centre Street. Continue on Centre Street, past Commonwealth Avenue. At the intersection with Beacon Street, in Newton Centre, First Baptist Church is in front of you on your right. Parking is available behind the church, or there is a public parking lot in Newton Centre.

From the Mass Pike West:
Exit 17 to Newton. Stay straight to go onto Washington Street. Take a slight right onto Centre Street, and go about 2 miles. The church is at the intersection of Centre and Beacon Streets, in front of you on your right. Parking is available behind the church, or there is a public parking lot in Newton Centre

By Public Transportation:
Take the D line (Riverside) to Newton Center. Turn left down Union Street, in front of Starbucks, and walk one block to the intersection of Beacon and Centre Streets where there is a traffic light. You will see the church across the street.
