Join us for one of two exciting performances with The Joel LaRue Smith Trio as they present Latin Jazz standards and original works from Joel’s newly released album, 'September’s Child.' The trio consists of Fernando Huergo, bass, Renato Malavasi, drums, and Joel LaRue Smith, piano.

The concerts will be an exciting tour-de-force of infectious Afro-Cuban dance rhythms which compel one’s body to dance and one’s soul to soar towards the heavens. The music fuses a rich blend of lush jazz harmonies with vibrant African and Latin American rhythms.

1 PM – Interactive Performance
(for Kids and Families!)
The 1 pm performance will be an interactive event that includes audience participation with the trio and opportunities for kids to go on stage and play percussion! Tickets are required.

Both events are in the Distler Performance Hall. Proceeds from this event will support the Eliot Pearson Children’s School Scholarship Fund. This event is presented by Tufts Music and the Eliot Pearson Children’s School.
