When Deborah Henson-Conant straps on her custom-built carbon-fiber harp, sparks fly. The Grammy-Nominated harpist/singer is throwing her own Birthday Bash concerts Nov. 21 & 22 at the intimate, historic Firehouse Center for the Arts on the waterfront in downtown Newburyport. WHY A BIRTHDAY BASH? Years ago, when she turned 19, Henson-Conant decided to publicly celebrate her dread of getting older by performing a Birthday concert. It became an annual event, and last year Firehouse crowds were so big, they added an extra show. Her shows include genre-busting concerts with songs, stories and instrumentals.

WHAT'S TO CELEBRATE? Deborah’s celebrating a year of milestones, from the premiere of a One-Woman Musical to a successful Guinness World Record attempt in Amsterdam!
