National Fossil Day - Celebrating Earth Science Week

Join us for a variety of hands-on activities with fossils. Explore the amazing prehistoric world of fossils including dinosaurs, Ice Age mammals, and other creatures. Discover how fossils form and investigate bones, teeth, claws, and fossilized footprints.

Fossil Day is offered as part of Earth Science Week, encouraging people everywhere to explore the natural world and learn about the geosciences.

A Mini-Fossil Fest Free To MA Residents From 3-5 Pm

If you've been to the museum's all day family festivals in March, this will be a mini-version, with different activity stations where kids can examine real fossils. The regular exhibits of dinosaurs, Ice Age mammals like Mastodon and giant sloth are all kid favorites, too.
