You may already know about RiverFest (http://sudbury-assabet-concord.org/riverFest/). New this year is 'It Takes a Green Village,' in Berlin, MA. Residents of both cohousing neighborhoods at Sawyer Hill EcoVillage will lead tours into wooded conservation land, to discuss the vegetation and wildlife preserved in partnership with the Sudbury Valley Trust. They'll also talk about the green design of the cohousing neighborhoods themselves.

Cohousing is a type of neighborhood planned and managed by the people who live there; it combines privacy and community while preserving the environment with clustered housing (preserving the surrounding land), pedestrian-oriented design, and shared resources (including exercise space, workshops, gardens, and children's play areas).
