Flower Power: Thursday, July 9
Using recycled materials, create your very own flower press. We'll explore the sanctuary's fields in search of wildflowers and learn the important role butterflies and bees play in producing new flowers.
Bats: Thursday, July 16
Have you ever wondered why bats hang upside down? We will explore these fascinating creatures of the night to learn what they eat, how they can hunt so well in the dark, and why they hang upside down. We’ll take a hike to collect natural materials to make our own hanging bat mobiles!
Mushroom Papermaking: Thursday, July 23
Come discover how to create natural paper using mushrooms. We will hike the sanctuary trails, and learn to identify mushrooms we find along the way. On our return, we willl make natural mushroom paper.
Bird Nests: Thursday, July 30
Come learn how different birds build their nests and what natural materials they use. We will take a hike to look for nests, while collecting our own materials to make our own bird nest.
