Is spring on the way, or are we faced with another six weeks of winter? According to legend, Punxsutawney Phil foretells the impending weather each year. Here at the sanctuary, we have a very special make-believe groundhog that performs a similar annual ritual.

Join sanctuary naturalists for a fun educational program as we take a closer look into this annual event. After an indoor session featuring fascinating groundhog facts and folklore, we'll head outside to search for signs that tell us spring is on the way. Along the way, we'll stop outside the home of our 'groundhog' and watch him make his annual appearance and prediction. Don't miss this fun-filled winter celebration!

Meets in the Barn. Please dress warmly. Recommended for children ages 4 - 10 yrs.
