patriots day beach party at crane beach wtrustees of reser photoThe Beach Stickers are coming! The Beach Stickers are coming! In honor of Patriot’s Day and Paul Revere’s historic ride, The Trustees of Reservations (The Trustees) invite the public to march on Crane Beach in Ipswich for a free Crane Beach Day on Monday, April 18 from 10:00am – 2:00pm.

Family Activities
Attendees at the Patriot’s Day event at Crane Beach can participate in a scavenger hunt for buried treasure, enjoy a guided hike through the dunes of Castle Neck, or revel in the simple beauty of the beach in April.

While there, those who are interested can purchase their 2011 Crane Beach Parking Sticker at the early bird discounted rate. Those who arrive early can try their chance at finding the golden clam which will entitle the winner to a free beach sticker. For more details, contact: Holly Hannaway, hhannaway@ttor.org, 978.356.5728x15

Beach Sticker Program Launch
The event is part of this year’s launch of the first-ever Crane Beach Parking Sticker program. *Trustees members* can purchase a parking sticker at the early bird discounted rate of only $50 now through April 30, 2011.

After April 30, member stickers may be purchased at the regular price of $75 (non-members can purchase memberships and a beach sticker at the event). Parking stickers will provide Trustees of Reservations members with free, unlimited admission to the beach for one full year (May 1, 2011 to April 30, 2012), offering a significant savings for those who visit the beach multiple times. Access to the beach parking lot will continue to be on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Crane Beach Parking Sticker is available to Trustees members only. Membership in The Trustees starts at just $45 per year for individuals ($35 for students and seniors). Individual members may purchase one sticker. Family members ($65 annual contribution) and Contributing members ($100 annual contribution) may purchase up to two stickers. Supporting-level members ($150 annual contribution) and above may request up to two stickers at no additional charge.

Regular Beach Parking Prices
For non-Trustees members, beach admission prices remain at $25 on weekends and $15 on weekdays. After 3:00 p.m., all beach admission prices decrease by 50%. For those members not wishing to purchase a parking sticker for 2011, summer beach season admission will increase this year to $10 on weekdays and $20 on weekends.

To receive the maximum savings on visits to the beach all year long, however, The Trustees are encouraging members to take advantage of the early-bird discount parking sticker program and purchase a $50 sticker before May 1. The sticker will allow Trustees members to visit the beach as many times as they like for one low price throughout the year.

Please note: Parking stickers will not guarantee parking. Parking will continue to be first come, first served. As in the past, The Trustees recommend arriving early on weekends and holidays, carpooling and/or using public transportation.
