Silverwood Organic Farm in Sherborn will be hosting a celebration of ‘Spring on the Farm’ and will be opening the farm to the public on Saturday, April 30th from 10:00am - 2:00pm. Come see sprouting seedlings in the greenhouses and learn about organic growing practices during tours of the farm. Local organic vendors will be on hand to answer questions about their products such as grass-fed beef, eggs, honey, and coffee. In addition, perennial plants will be available for purchase.
There will be plenty of children activities from shelling and popping organic popcorn to seed planting to potato sack races. Children and adults alike can also enjoy vintage John Deere tractor rides!
This is an excellent opportunity to meet your local farmers, learn about the many benefits of certified organic farming, and enjoy the opening of Silverwood Organic Farm for Spring. All are welcome to participate in this free event that is open to the public.
