Celebrate Arbor Day this spring at Tower Hill Botanic Garden! Activities will include tree plantings, pruning demonstrations, and walking tours. Arbor Day Weekend offers a great opportunity to get into the spirit of the holiday and learn the latest techniques for planting trees to ensure they thrive.The first 25 1st-time visitors to pass through the gate on each day (Friday through Sunday) will receive a free tree sapling to plant at home. Tree plantings will take place each day at 2:00pm, led by Executive Director John Trexler.
Local arborist Joe Biagioni will give a pruning demonstration on Friday, April 29, at 12:00pm, and again on Sunday, May 1, at 12:00pm. Kids will also enjoy a special self-guided Arbor Day scavenger hunt. A guided tour of the Garden is offered on Sunday, May 1, at 2:00pm.
Visitors may also stock up on gardening supplies and gifts in the Gift Shop, and with Mother's Day coming up soon, this is a great time to select something special for mom! Visitors may also enjoy lunch at Twigs Café, open from 11:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M.
Arbor Day Weekend activities are included with Regular Admission to the Garden: $10 Adults, $7 Seniors, and $5 Youth aged 6-18, Children under 6 and WCHS members FREE.
