Ravenswood Park supports the only population of the endangered Sweetbay Magnolia trees in New England, making them a rare treasure. Sweetbay flowers in late June/early July with a fragrant smell and creamy off-white color. Join The Trustees and help unravel the mystery of the Sweetbay Magnolia story while we journey the magnolia swamp trails of our treasured community park. Pre-registration required.

The Trustees of Reservations, the nation’s oldest statewide land trust, have events planned at multiple locations around the state – many in or near your community -- throughout the month June.
Events include hikes, guided walks, volunteer workdays, trail steward, design and maintenance training workshops, and more. All events are designed to invigorate your body and mind while spending some quality time with family and friends enjoying and/or pitching in at a favorite outdoor place in your community.
