Insects: September 14
The insect and spider world is fun and fascinating. Using sweep nets and bug boxes, we'll learn about our busiest neighbors.
Flowers: September 21
Become a plant detective and explore the gardens and fields of the sanctuary. Toddlers will take a close-up look at the many colors and shapes of flowers using magnifying lenses.
Trees: September 28
What does tree bark feel like? Can you imagine growing roots from your toes? Using several of our senses, we will explore the amazing variety of trees on the sanctuary.
Seeds: October 5
How are seeds like boats and helicopters? We'll take apart a seed, blow seeds in the wind, and collect hitchhiking seeds to find out how they travel.
Leaves: October 12
We'll look for leaves on the ground and on the trees, participate in a leaf hunt, and make leaf rubbings.
Instructions and Directions: Meets in the Nature Center. Please dress for the weather since we will be outside for most of the time. Limited to 9 adult/child pairs. The fee covers one adult/child pair.

From Boston and the south: Take Rt I-95 north to exit 50 and follow Rt 1 north. At the junction of Rt 1 and Rt 97, turn right onto Rt 97 south (toward Beverly and Danvers). Follow Rt 97 south and take the third left onto Perkins Row. Follow Perkins Row for 1 mile, and the sanctuary is on the right.
From the north: Take Rt I-95 south to exit 53A and follow Rt 97 south. At the junction of Rt 1 and Rt 97 in Topsfield, stay on Rt 97 south and take the third left onto Perkins Row. Follow Perkins Row for 1 mile, and the sanctuary is on the right.
