On Friday, August 19th, Boston Harbor Island Alliance, through the generosity of the Highland Street Foundation, will offer free ferry tickets for visitors to the Boston Harbor Islands national park area.

Visitors will be able to enjoy a trip to either Spectacle or Georges Islands to escape the city for a fun outdoor excursion. Have a picnic, swim off the life-guarded beach at Spectacle, take a yoga or Zumba class, listen to jazz, hike the trails of Spectacle, or explore Fort Warren.

Food service is available on the Islands, with Jasper White’s Summer Shack offering an expanded full service menu on Spectacle Island.

The Highland Street Foundation’s Free Fun Fridays program provides free admission to some of Massachusetts' most well known attractions every Friday for ten weeks in the summer.
