The Boston Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with The Boston Arts Commission, is proud to introduce an extension of this summer’s successful Pics in the Parks Photography Workshops beginning December 11.

In addition to the free photography workshops, participants can participate in a three-
month Scavenger Hunt.

The Winter Photography Workshops, open to people of all ages and skill-levels, works toward developing tricks and techniques for taking great photographs in Boston’s picturesque parks.

The photography workshops will be held on Sundays beginning December 11 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.

The three-month Scavenger Hunt will guide participants to ten one-of-a-kind landmarks in Boston’s parks, citywide. Participants will receive clues weekly via email and on the Boston Parks’ social media accounts.

Participants will capture the landmark the clues have led them to on camera and submit their photos for a chance to be selected for a four-week photography exhibit beginning February 20 in Boston City Hall. A panel of judges will select their favorite photo from the exhibit and the photographer will win an exciting prize!

To participate, please sign up by emailing Lauren.patrick@cityofboston.gov
