DCR's Charles River Reservation is a linear park stretching from Boston Harbor up the river for miles. The lower half of the reservation, the Charles River Basin, includes the Esplanade on the Boston side and abuts MIT, Boston University and Harvard campuses. The Reservation’s many recreational opportunities is a wonderful resource for urban dwellers.
