While some songbirds have left for a warmer climate, our resident winter birds are happily preparing for the cold and the snow. Come and join us for some winter fun and learning!

Observe a winter bird banding demonstration.

Make a birdseed bagel or a fruit wreath for your backyard birds.

String popcorn and cranberries and decorate our feeder tree!For ages 7 and up, design the ultimate bird feeder, examine bird wings, and take our interactive quiz on winter bird calls.

For ages 2 to 6, we'll have storytelling, crafts, and guided games about trees, birds, and weather.

Enjoy the natural beauty of this festive season!

Location: Joppa Flats Education Center, Newburyport Instructors: Elyssa Davis - Joppa Flats Teacher-Naturalist; Lisa Hutchings - Joppa Flats School and Youth Education Coordinator Audience: All (suitable for children 2 - 12 years)

This program is open to all ages.

Children must be accompanied by adults.

This is a rain-or-shine event.

Nature-themed attire is welcome!
