Getting comfortable reading maps and using a compass are essential skills for navigating your way on the trail.
In this activity, we will practice reading map symbols, using a compass to determine direction, and learn what to do if you get lost.
Then put your skills to the test with a practice scavenger hunt through the park!
Best for school-aged children and up, or anyone who is new to this skill.
Holiday programs fill fast.
Registration is strongly encouraged.
To register, email with your name, number in group and kids' ages.
If you have a compass, please bring it!
Some will be available to borrow.
Wear layers, good walking shoes and water.
Adult must accompany child.
*December - March, programs may change in nature or cancel due to winter weather.
