Registration includes participation in all four days, at the end of which will be a short graduation where participants will receive their Junior Rangers certificate of completion and an official patch.
Participants must attend all four consecutive days in order to receive a certificate and a patch.
(The programs below might occur out of order depending on the weather)
August 11: Basic orienteering and map reading with special guest Ranger Bill
August 12: Raptors!
We’ll explore owls, hawks, and other raptors in the Fells and will dissect a real owl pellet!
August 13: Life in a Pond.
We’ll take a walk to Quarter Mile Pond where we will identify key components of pond habitat.
August 14: Our Search and Rescue team Ranger Kathy and her partner Ava will demonstrate how they track missing people, talk about wilderness safety, and discuss what to do if you ever get lost in the woods.
