Wish your kids did?
This hands-on, experiential outdoor program will help your whole family start a healthy habit and leave your kids begging for more.
While you're experiencing a winter wonderland and cool local places, you'll also be learning how to dress, pack, and prepare to take the family outside in the cold (and we'll lend you winter gear if you need it).
Learn how the outdoors helps kids be healthy and succeed in school while discovering parks in your 'backyard!'
Animal tracking, snow shoeing, snow play, snow painting, fort building and winter smellables are some of the activities your kids will love.
This program is for families with children ages 6+.
It meets for 4 Sunday sessions.
Families are expected to attend a minimum of 3 out of the 4 sessions.
There is no cost to participate, but advance registration is required.
Group size is limited.
Children must attend with a parent/guardian.
Email Rx@outdoors.org to register by February 4th.
This program is offered by the Appalachian Mountain Club's Outdoors Rx program.
