Join the Middleton Stream Team for a family winter hike. Participants in the three- to four-mile hike will explore the forest home of deer, coyotes, beavers and birds in an environment of constant transition since it was shaped by the Wisconsin continental glacier and its melt-waters 10,000-12,000 years ago.

The group will meet at 1 p.m., on Mill Street extension, off Peabody Street. Peabody Street runs between East and Liberty streets. If coming from East Street, turn right on Mill Street extension. Look for other cars and people about four-tenths of a mile down on the right. Warm clothing, hat, gloves, warm footwear and a camera are recommended.
