Drop by for this free event that will be truly out of this world! From 12-4 we’ll have activities, crafts, and sun-spot viewing, and from 7-9 we’ll check out the planets and galaxies.
If you have a telescope, bring it along!
This is a free event, thanks to the generosity of the South Shore Astronomical Society.
There is no need to preregister, just stop by during the day or evening program...
or both!
Daytime Program (noon-4 pm):
Planet, meteorite, and star displays Solar sun-spot viewing Activities like making solar graphs, space models, and sky maps Children's stories with Cowboy Rick Experiments with Galileo himself!
Evening Program (7-9 pm):
We will check out the night sky to view planets and galaxies.
We hope to see Jupiter and its moons, Venus, the moon’s mountains, and maybe even Mercury.

Driving south on Rt 3: take exit 13 (Rt 53, Hanover/Norwell). Turn left onto Rt 53. Go 0.6 miles and turn right at light onto Rt 123 east. Go 5.7 miles to rotary and take the first exit onto Rt 3A south. Sanctuary entrance is 1.6 miles ahead on the left.
Heading north on Rt 3: take exit 12 (Rt 139, Marshfield/Pembroke). Turn onto Rt 139 east and go 3 miles to Rt 3A. Turn left (north) and follow Rt 3A for 4.6 miles to sanctuary entrance on right.
