Every year, Joppa Flats raises caterpillars, and midsummer is the best time to watch the butterfly and moth life cycle in action!

Come see such winged wonders as American ladies, swallowtails, monarchs, skippers, and more.

At Joppa Flats, you'll learn about environmentally friendly lawn maintenance, how to attract birds and wildlife to your yard, and smart practices for the home and garden.

Enjoy a guided nature walk on the grounds, play a few rounds of the Monarch Migration Game, and take home a fun craft or two.

This program is open to all ages.

Children must be accompanied by adults.

This is a rain-or-shine event.

There will be half-hour family presentations at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.

Registration is not required.
