Participants in the campout will be able to pitch their own tent at the Ames Estate, roast marshmallows on a fire to make s’mores, take a night hike of the property, and enjoy a variety of family games and activities.
Dinner will be served to participants; a cook out style meal will be available with options for those with dietary restrictions.
A cold breakfast will be served in the morning.
This campout is ideal for parents who would like to start introducing their children to camping in a safe, easy way.
However, this campout is also ideal for more experienced campers, as this will give them the unique opportunity to explore their own backyards with the same curiosity and enthusiasm as the wilderness.
The activities will be family oriented and suitable for all ages.
The campout will be occurring concurrently with several other Trustees properties across the state.
