Join us to both pitch in and play at the Parker River National Wildlife Refuge!
To go along with the cleanup, we’ll have a full day of fun outdoor activities that include live tide pool animals, coastal plant walks, sand science on the beach, and a wrack-line roundup.
Ages 7 and up can attempt to stop erosion, tally up the trash found in the wrack line, and perform percolation tests with sand and soil.
For ages 2 to 6, we'll have on-the-beach group games, shorebird feeding simulations, and simple take-home crafts using natural items.
Come for an hour or for the whole day, and bring your family, friends, mothers’ groups, scouts, or your child’s entire class!
This program is open to all ages.
Preregistration is not required.
Children must be accompanied by adults.
Rain or shine.
In the case of inclement weather, the program will take place indoors at Joppa Flats Education Center with family presentations at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
