As darkness descends, we’ll spread out our blankets and star gaze.
If we’re lucky, we may see some early falling stars from the Perseid meteor showers.
Please bring bug spray, a blanket and a jacket or sweater.
Rain date for this program is Saturday, Aug.19.
This program is not held at the museum.

Aug.12 is the night of peak meteor activity.
Sunset is at 7:49 pm.
The constellation Perseus is in the northeastern sky; the moon rises at 10:39 pm (waning gibbous, 76% illuminated).

1. Take 93 to exit 5B (Route 28 North, Milton)
2. At the first Traffic Light, take a right onto Chickatawbut Rd.
3. Stay on Chickatawbut Rd. for about .3 miles
4. Look for the small access road entrance to the 'Norman Smith Environmental Education Center' on the right. There is also a large sign that says 'Mass Audubon Summer Camp'
5. Drive all the way up the access road to the parking area.
