Find out about these incredible, temporary bodies of water and visit one of the Blue Hill's vernal pools to discover who lives there.
These 'wicked big puddles' may be one of the best places to study the relative health of the nature of Massachusetts.
This program begins in the museum's auditorium with a look at the history and biology of Massachusetts's vernal pools.
Participants will then go on a short guided hike to a vernal pool located on the side of Great Blue Hill.
A Trailside naturalist will help you locate and identify the living things found at the pool.
Please wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for a short walk outside.
The rain date for this program is Saturday, April 14.
