Would you like to learn to become a winter wildlife detective? With the onset of winter, we often think of nature as going into a slumber, but there is so much going on outside!
In fact, winter provides some of the best opportunities to discover what sorts of animals are inhabiting our fields and forests, day and night, year round!
If there is no snow, we can still search for signs of wildlife -- the snow just makes it more obvious! We invite you to join us! Dress in warm layers, warm boots, hat and mittens. Bring track guides and binoculars if you have them. Tracking sheets will be provided.
We will begin indoors in with a brief presentation about local wildlife and tracking techniques, before heading out on the trails to see who we can find out and about in the winter woods.
Please note, space in this program is limited and pre-registration is required.
