Ken Clarkson, an expert instructor for The Umbrella’s popular Ninjas in Nature classes and summer camp, will lead a number of fun, multi-generational games and activities in Chamberlin Woods to teach the art of wilderness survival.
Festival attendees will learn how to start a fire by friction (and roast croissants!), hunt wild edibles, navigate a route blindfolded, and make trail art.
The Family Ninjas in Nature Skills Festival takes place from 1 to 4 pm at the Concord Land Conservation Trust Chamberlin Woods.
Registration costs $10 per person and $20 per family, and participants can show up at any time.

The Umbrella Arts & Environment program promotes a reconnection to place and to nature through celebration, exploration, and the arts.
It is part of the expansive Umbrella Arts Center (formerly Emerson Umbrella), a multifunction 501(c)3 nonprofit arts organization founded in 1983 in Concord, MA.
