Yumi, an llustrator, tells the folk story of the Butterfly with original artistic slides on a handbuilt Japanese Paper Theater box.
Kendall, a STEM instructor, follows up with activity for children to learn shapes colors and habitat facts about the Butterfly.
All participants must sign standard waiver for park event activity.
Social distancing and masks with CDC protocols will be followed.
Instructors are fully vaccinated.
Strollers are ok to park or use on grass and crushed stone walkways.
Watch for butterflies.
Saugus Cultural Council funding this event via MassCulturalCouncil grant.
To reserve a craft bag with paper for several crafts (one per family) please pre-register by calling 781-334-5131.
First come first served.
NOTE: Lodge is not open, bring own water, dress for weather, this event is outdoors.

Saugus entrance of Breakheart Reservation, to right of the lodge is playground and ampitheater with outdoor seating. ADA accessible, note: the lodge at this entrance is not open, bring your own water, dress for weather, no rain date.
