The trip departs from the public dock adjacent to the former Houghs Neck Maritime Center, 137 Bayview Avenue, Quincy, MA at 1:00PM. returning to the dock at 5:00P.M.
Rainsford Island once known as Hospital Island has had centuries of varied uses. Photo historian Elizabeth Carella will do a brief program upon arrival. You can walk the Island, its beaches and coves.
Maps will be distributed for self-exploration.
Pack a picnic and bring water. There is no food sold on the boat or the Island. Park policy is no pets and no alcohol.
The Island does not have a dock. The vessel Knotts Island is not equipped for mobility assisted devices. Boat capacity is limited- advance tickets are encouraged.
