The Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust (DNRT) and the Women on the Land network are hosting a free woods walk for women from 10 am to 1 pm focused on planning forest management strategies to diversify bird habitat with a particular focus on woodcock.MassWildlife's Habitat Management Biologist Marianne Piche and DNRT's Land Manager Linda Vanderveer will a woods walk through DNRT's Helfand Farm, as well as a discussion of understanding landscape context, identifying habitat types on your land, options for wildlife habitat management, and professionals and programs to help you achieve your goals.
Lunch will be provided.
