Discover 13 enormous wooden 'bug' sculptures by David Rogers land as you walk through New England Wild Flower Society's Garden in the Woods. Enjoy special insect-plant events, family fun, and a thrilling outdoor experience.
Each weekend during the run of this exhibit, there is a special bug featured. The following is the line-up:
Aug 2-3 BEE Weekend - Taste wild honey + see a hive
Aug 9-10 ANT Weekend - Make ant-ennae + fingerprint art
Aug 16-17 DAMSELFLY Weekend - See flying insect jewels
Aug 23-24 BUTTERFLY Festival - Peak meadow bloom, exciting crafts
Sept 6-7 PRAYING MANTIS Weekend - See clever camouflage
Sept 13-14 DADDY LONGLEGS Weekend - Make a sculpture
Sept 20-21 MONARCH MIGRATION Weekend - Create monarch wings

Vote for your favorite bug! Submit bug/plant images to bigbugsart@newenglandwild.org to have placed on website. Have your map stamped two weekends at the BUGMOBILE to receive a BUGOLOGIST pin. Borrow a Bug Adventure Bag with binoculars, journal, bug box, and crayons to enhance your experience.
