Is a wetland always wet?

Do wetlands have environmental benefits?

Can wetlands exist in the forest?

Join us for this informative guided hike to discover the superpower of forested wetlands – one of nature’s unique ecosystems.

Learn about the wetlands role in creating a healthy environment and their superpowers as groundwater purifiers, nurseries and breeding grounds for important amphibians, and so much more.

Conclude your Earth Week by learning about this vital yet fragile ecosystem and the superpowers forested wetlands bring to Chestnut Hill Farm.

Your guide will be Tim Puopolo, a Trustees ranger and naturalist, and recipient of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation’s “Outstanding Park Interpreter” award.

Please note, though we love dogs, they are not permitted at Chestnut Hill Farm.
