As the weather cools, the leaves begin to fall; we see fewer insects, different birds, less sunlight.
It's like everything we encounter is dying, preparing for a long rest (either literal or figurative).
And so it's normal during this time of year that we think more about death: our own, our loved ones', the death of the plants and animals and other organisms around us.
What does observing nature during fall teach us about death?
About grief?
About what comes next?
About living, despite...
everything?
We’ll read and discuss a couple of poems that explore nature and death/dying for inspiration.
We’ll walk the trails, observing the changing landscape around us.
Participants will have time to write on their own in response to guided prompts.
Then, we’ll have the chance to share our experiences (and/or our writing) with each other.
This program is for writers of all skills levels.
