Join the Robbins Library as we journey through a Backyard Garden and Park Safari with naturalist John Root. Children ages 3 and up and accompanying adults discover the diversity of plants and animals in their own backyards, gain tips for keeping a nature journal and hear stories of Mr. Root’s and other naturalists’ encounters with regional flora and fauna.

You will leave the program with illustrated pamphlets containing suggestions for safety and comfort on nature outings, guidelines for responsible stewardship of our environment, and ideas and resources for creative art and play with found natural objects. This hour-long multimedia and multi-sensory program is not to be missed. Tuesday, July 8. 3:00 PM in the community room.

This free program is sponsored by the Russell Fund. Space is limited; please pick up a ticket beginning an hour before the event at the Children’s desk. For more information about John Root, go to his website: www.johnroot.net. For more information, please call 781-316-3234.
