Watch Gigi and Okie celebrate their birthdays! Gigi, the oldest gorilla of Franklin Park Zoo’s troop of seven western lowland gorillas, is turning 36 on July 13 and Okie, best-known as the Zoo’s resident artist for his remarkable finger painting abilities, turns 15 on July 11. In honor of their birthdays, Franklin Park Zoo will host a joint birthday celebration where they will receive a birthday “cake” baked especially for them. The Zoo’s indoor gorilla exhibit will also be festively decorated with streamers and paper flowers.
