Neponset Day
Hours: | 9:00am - 1:00pm |
Ages: | Kids, Teens, Adults |
In/Outdoor: | Outdoor |
Cost: | Free |
Category: | Nature & Outdoors |
The natural salt marshes and wetlands actually support more than 200 species of birds, fish and other wildlife.
This is a FREE, public, family-friendly event. We encourage you to bring a blanket and a picnic, and spend the day!
*We’re pleased to be able to reschedule this event, which was originally planned for June 3, and was canceled due to high winds that created a safety risk for boating. The July event will be held rain or shine, unless we encounter dangerous weather again, like high winds and thunderstorms.*
All activities are FREE and include:
- free canoeing and kayaking
- a spray deck – bring a bathing suit & towels!
- music
- environmental exhibits
- food trucks & ice cream
Parking
Parking at Neponset Park is very limited. Free parking is available just a 1 minute drive up the street at McKeon Post or DCR Pope John Paul Park. To get to these lots, drive up Hilltop St. and take a right onto Hallet Street.
