The Town of Concord was born on September 12, 1635. In 2010, we will be celebrating Concord's 375th year! Concord has a long history of celebrating its incorporation. We have had large celebrations in 2000, 1985, 1975, 1950, and more!

We are pleased to announce a weekend of of fun family festivities to celebrate the 375th birthday of our Town.

Saturday Morning, September 11, 2010 - a Parade
Saturday Night, September 11, 2010 - a Birthday Bash (Dance)
Sunday Afternoon, September 12, 2010 - A Music Festival
Sunday Night, September 12, 2010 - Fireworks

Friday, September 10th
Barefoot Books on Thoreau St. will host an afternoon party for some of our youngest residents.

Later join us at CCHS for the VOX --- various local people share interesting ten minute vignettes, sure to give you insight and pause.

Saturday, September 11th
PARADE we “step off” with a wonderful, festive hometown parade complete with over ninety units, a marshal, bands, floats and local dignitaries. The parade is themed by decades. It will begin in Concord Center at 10 AM. (for the exact route please visit our web site or the Sept. 2nd Concord Journal).

MUSIC CONCERT Right after the parade into the afternoon, we will host a series of mini music concerts in front of the Visitor’s Center downtown.

GALA BALL Saturday, 7:30 PM we will begin the evening acknowledging the poignancy of this special date. Afterward we invite everyone to celebrate Concord and dance the night away with the band Firefly, refreshments and a cash bar. Sunday, September 12th
FIREWORKS the weekend will culminate on Sunday afternoon. Join us at Concord-Carlisle High School, picnic, support some of our local non-profit organizations who will offer some refreshments and relax to the music of Concord Band and the Ramblin’ Boys as we segue into an amazing blast of Fireworks at sunset.
