Somerville Memorial Day Parade

Monday, May 27th: Memorial Day Ceremony 10am at Somerville Veterans Cemetery
The 2024 Somerville Veterans Memorial Parade is ready to go for another amazing tribute to our heroes. The Parade will begin at the Davis Square Rotary (9/11 Memorial Granite Circle Site) up Holland Street then proceed to Broadway/Teele Square and end across from Veterans Cemetery.
There will be a brief ceremony immediately following the Parade at the Veterans’ Cemetery.
The Parade also kicks off Memorial Week in Somerville, which includes additional events to honor the City’s veterans.
The parade will have approximately 87 units, including Somerville officials, community groups and organizations, the Somerville Police and Fire Departments, local, regional, and national veterans’ organizations and members from each of the armed service branches, and much more.
All drivers are reminded that Highland Avenue will be closed starting at 1pm for safety reasons.
To ensure that everyone gets to the parade safely, all drivers will be rerouted from Medford street to Clarendon hill.
Access to Davis Square will be blocked off to traffic.
Drivers are reminded to corporate with law enforcement and check for road closures.
